BodySong Wellness

The BodySong Wellness program includes:

  • One-hour coaching sessions, usually weekly, but sometimes more or less often.
  • Optional bodywork sessions
  • E-mail support between sessions
  • Handouts and other materials

In the BodySong Wellness program I will support you to:

  • Love yourself unconditionally.
  • Discover and choose foods and physical exercise and rest that make you feel (and look!) fabulous.
  • Explore the areas of career, personal relationships and spirituality, and create the life of your dreams.
  • Allow your body to return to its naturally balanced state of health that is your birthright.

I will also provide a safe space for you to:

  • Get re-acquainted with your true nature.
  • Practice speaking your truth and being fully self-expressed.
  • Heal from trauma stored in the body – through massage, craniosacral therapy, movement or song.
  • Be wild, silly, shy, joyful, awkward, playful, dorky, sexy, intelligent, gorgeous, angry, funny, sad, weird or whatever you are experiencing in the present moment.

I will encourage you to:

  • Be courageous.
  • Be kind to yourself.
  • Be gentle with yourself.
  • Take chances and try things even if you are scared of what might happen. I often find that what might happen if I don’t try is an even more terrifying alternative.
  • Get to know your comfort zone and push the edges of it.
  • Challenge and test and explore your beliefs – make sure they are still current, relevant, and reflect your experience in life.

My areas of expertise in the health/wellness field include:

  • Healing from chronic fatigue, adrenal fatigue, and candida issues
  • Weight loss
  • Compulsive/emotional eating
  • Sugar addiction
  • Eating for health (whole, natural foods) and recovery from chronic issues
  • Insulin resistance/Metabolic Syndrome/blood sugar issues
  • Special Diets including local, ancestral, paleo, vegetarian, vegan, raw, low-carbohydrate, and gluten/dairy/sugar/nut or egg-free
  • Healthy, fun, delicious, inspired cooking
  • Body consciousness – tuning into what your body needs or wants in order to feel well

  • Synergistic Energy Medicine (a combination of polarity, biodynamic craniosacral therapy and non-cathartic trauma release)

  • Movement/Dance, (especially modern, improv, salsa, african, Zumba, Nia and authentic movement)
  • Body awareness – The Alexander Technique, a mind-body system for moving with ease
  • Yoga, for strength, flexibility, spirituality and health
  • Cooking and serving beautiful, delicious, health-promoting food to appreciative people – catering with local and seasonal produce
  • Growing veggies and harvesting wild foods
  • Nature and portrait photography
  • Collage, print-making, rubber stamp design and carving
  • Sewing, knitting, (especially bags and hats)
  • Sailing, knot-tying, marlinspike seamanship, sail-making
  • Playing in the woods, near the ocean – being outside in nature, star-gazing
  • Writing, reading and anything else having to do with words (especially alliteration)
  • Having conversations with other people who want to share about their hopes, challenges and dreams.
  • Playing music on the piano, guitar or violin and singing
  • Traveling and spending time wandering, meeting people and discovering new places.
  • Speaking and listening to languages, especially Brazilian Portuguese, French, and English with any accent different from mine.
  • The Enneagram – a personality typing system for self-inquiry

  • The Work of Byron Katie – a teaching of simple questioning intended to help end suffering
  • Meditation, spending time connecting with the universe and my higher power.
